A tourism boom has lifted business in a famous Bradford district village, but the trend has also left local councillors grappling with the pressures created by the surge in visitor numbers. Independent businesses and attractions in Haworth have reported more visitors, higher sales and an increase in international tourists following the release of this year's Wuthering Heights film, as well as a spike in social media coverage. However, Haworth with Stanbury Village Council said the rise had also brought more litter and pressure on local infrastructure, with work under way to consider extra bins and other measures.

Most parents could tell you that battling the school rush is a tricky part of their day. However, for parents whose children attend Dixon’s Allerton Academy in Bradford, the situation has become even more difficult. Three weeks ago, the school closed off its rear gate on Oaks Lane, citing “safeguarding” issues as the reason for this. Now, parents and children are forced to use the entrance at the front of the school building on Rhodesway, a moderately busy road with multiple bus stops and a single yellow line that runs along its edges.

Residents of a caravan park say they are living "on a knife edge" as uncertainty hangs over the future of their homes. Dobrudden Farm Caravan Park in Baildon, currently home to around 100 people, has been operated by the Lawrence family for 70 years but is now at the centre of concerns over the future of the site. The proprietors first discovered the land, owned by Bradford Council, was going up for sale through an article in the Telegraph & Argus in February 2024.
